Luna vs Queen of Pain

How this matchup plays

Picking a Queen of Pain into Luna often feels like a race against the clock. QoP's game plan revolves around leveraging her early magical burst and mobility to create an advantage. She can use Shadow Strike and Scream of Pain to dominate early fights and pick off stragglers. The problem is that Luna's farming speed from Moon Glaives means she will eventually reach a point where she can withstand that burst. While Queen of Pain's Blink is an excellent tool for dodging Eclipse, it doesn't solve the fundamental issue of Luna's sustained physical damage becoming overwhelming as the game goes on.

This matchup forces Queen of Pain to be proactive. She needs to gank, secure objectives, and try to end the game before Luna gets her key items. A successful QoP will constantly force Luna to react and delay her farm. Luna's goal, conversely, is to survive this pressure. Once she has a Black King Bar, she can often turn and fight, as QoP's spells become ineffective. In later teamfights, Luna doesn't even need to focus QoP directly; her glaives will bounce onto the back lines and wear down the less durable Queen of Pain anyway.
