Luna vs Riki

How this matchup plays

Jumping on a farming Luna looks like Riki’s ideal scenario, but it’s often a trap for him. While Smoke Screen is a huge problem, Luna's high base armor and typical stat-heavy items make her surprisingly tough. If Riki can't burst her down inside his smoke, she can often turn the fight around. A timely Black King Bar activation lets her ignore the silence and misses, and her own damage output with Moon Glaives is high enough to threaten Riki directly. The fight isn't about Riki simply hunting; it's about whether he can secure the kill before Luna can react.

The flow of the game really decides this matchup. Riki has the advantage in the early and mid-game, able to disrupt Luna's farm and create pressure across the map. However, once Luna has her core items and starts grouping with her team, the dynamic can flip. Her Eclipse and bouncing glaives become a massive teamfight threat that Riki struggles to deal with head-on. Riki is then forced to play for pickoffs on the edges of the fight, while Luna wants to force objectives and win clashes with her team.
