Luna vs Ringmaster

How this matchup plays

Trying to lock down Luna with crowd control can be a double-edged sword. Ringmaster excels at catching a single hero, but his abilities often bring everyone closer together. This plays directly into what Luna wants. If Ringmaster isolates Luna, she can often turn the gank with Eclipse. If he pulls her teammates into her, her Moon Glaives suddenly start bouncing between multiple targets, and his own setup can backfire. Ringmaster needs perfect, instant follow-up from his team to secure a kill, otherwise he is simply grouping enemies for Luna’s benefit.

The whole matchup comes down to timing. An early gank from Ringmaster can certainly shut down Luna's farm and delay her core items. But once Luna gets a Black King Bar, Ringmaster loses his primary way of controlling her in a fight. From that point on, Luna can usually ignore him and focus on hitting the rest of his team. Ringmaster is then forced to play reactively, using his spells on Luna's allies or trying to kite her until her spell immunity wears off. It’s a very close contest between his early disruption and her eventual teamfight presence.
