Luna vs Wraith King

How this matchup plays

Blowing an Eclipse on a single hero is usually a guaranteed kill, but against Wraith King, it's often a mistake. He’s built to absorb exactly that kind of magical burst. Luna commits her biggest teamfight cooldown, and he soaks it all with his first life. When his Reincarnation triggers, the fight resets, but now Luna is missing her ultimate. His skeletons also complicate things by body blocking and absorbing Lucent Beams, making it even harder for her to focus a specific target before he can get on top of her.

This dynamic dictates how mid-game fights play out. Wraith King can walk at Luna without fear, forcing her to either use her ult on him inefficiently or try to run. He wants her to pop Eclipse on him; it's a win for his team either way. After he revives, he can usually run her down with his stun while she's vulnerable. Luna's main goal becomes trying to kite him while cleaving down his supports with Moon Glaives, but that’s difficult when Wraith King is constantly in her face and she can't burst him down to create space.
