Luna vs Slark

How this matchup plays

Thinking Slark can run at Luna for free is a common oversimplification. While he's great at sticking to a target, Luna's Eclipse is a serious threat if Slark gets caught out. Slark has his answers, though. Dark Pact lets him purge the mini-stun from Lucent Beam, and Shadow Dance gives him a clean way to dodge the bulk of her ultimate damage or simply disengage. It's a duel of major cooldowns; whoever has their ultimate ready while the other doesn't has a clear window to take the fight.

Luna almost always farms faster with Moon Glaives, letting her build an item lead while Slark has to look for kills to keep up. The entire dynamic depends on whether Slark can successfully gank Luna during his mid-game power spike. If he can't find her, or if her team plays around her properly, Luna gets to a point where she can group up and push. Her massive teamfight damage becomes too much for Slark, who prefers picking off isolated targets and struggles to jump into a coordinated team.
