Head-to-head Dota 2 7.41f win rate from ranked matches.
In Dota 2 7.41f, Lycan wins the Lycan vs Skywrath Mage matchup: Lycan beats Skywrath Mage in 52.36% of 8,887 ranked matches.
Picking a fragile, single-target support into Lycan can be a real gamble. Skywrath Mage struggles to find a good target for his spells when he's being run down by a whole zoo. The wolves and other summons absorb his damage and make it difficult to land a full Mystic Flare combo on the real hero. If Lycan does get close, especially in Shapeshift form, Skywrath Mage has no way to escape and dies very quickly. The matchup isn't one-sided, as a well-played Skywrath can still make the lane difficult early on, but Lycan's ability to overwhelm him with units and close distance gives him a small leg up.
