He's strong into immobile, low-clear heroes who can't stop his early push: Elder Titan, Timbersaw and Treant Protector get out-pushed and out-paced. Lycan is countered by sustain and summon-swarm answers: Necrophos out-heals his damage, Naga Siren Songs his pack and clears wolves, and Crystal Maiden or Meepo shut down his tempo. Lycan synergies
Lycan wants to push fast and overwhelm before the enemy groups — he pairs incredibly well with AoE setup and other summons. His best partner by far is Dark Seer: Vacuum + Wall + Ion Shell turns Lycan's wolf rush into an unstoppable siege.
