Magnus vs Mirana

How this matchup plays

Catching Mirana is often harder than it looks for Magnus. Her Leap gives her an immediate way to dodge a Reverse Polarity or reposition after being hit by Skewer. A typical Blink initiation from Magnus that would doom other heroes might not stick on Mirana if she reacts quickly. This forces the Magnus player to either expend more resources trying to lock her down or to simply choose a less mobile hero as the primary target. It fundamentally makes his job of starting a fight on his terms more complicated, as his most valuable target has a built-in escape for his main tools.

This dynamic shapes how teamfights play out. Mirana will want to hover on the edges of the fight, using her mobility to stay safe and looking for a Sacred Arrow on Magnus as he tries to commit. The Magnus player, in turn, has to weigh the risk of going on a slippery Mirana versus finding a better Reverse Polarity on her teammates. His game plan doesn't become impossible, but it does require more patience and better target selection. If he can catch Mirana without Leap or simply land a fight-winning ultimate on her allies, he can still secure the teamfight.
