Magnus vs Pangolier

How this matchup plays

Choosing one of these heroes into the other creates a tense cat-and-mouse game. Pangolier is incredibly slippery with Swashbuckle and Rolling Thunder, making him a frustrating target for Magnus's initiation. He can often dash away from a Skewer or dodge the setup for Reverse Polarity. However, Magnus has the exact tools needed to shut Pangolier down if he can land them. A well-timed Horn Toss or RP can instantly stop a roll and leave Pango vulnerable. It's a classic battle of lockdown versus mobility, where neither hero has a clear upper hand before the fight starts.

Success for either side comes down to timing and patience. The Magnus player has to wait for Pangolier to commit his mobility spells before trying to lock him down. The Pango player, in turn, needs to bait out those big cooldowns and play around the edges of the fight. The fact that these two often get in each other's way when drafted together speaks to this conflict; they both want to initiate and control the fight, but their styles can clash. The outcome of a teamfight often depends on which hero catches the other out of position first.
