Magnus vs Primal Beast

How this matchup plays

Catching an entire team in Reverse Polarity feels great, but it’s less impactful when one of those heroes is a Primal Beast building Uproar stacks. His natural durability means he often survives the initial burst and can turn the fight. This forces Magnus to play around him, looking for openings on the backline instead. Meanwhile, Primal Beast’s own initiation is a direct threat. He can use Pulverize to lock down the very hero Magnus wants to Empower, neutralizing his game plan even if Magnus himself isn't the primary target.

The result is a standoff where both heroes can feel hesitant to use their big ultimates. Magnus will often wait for Primal Beast to commit with Onslaught or Pulverize before he feels safe to initiate, and vice versa. Each hero is trying to bait the other into a bad engagement. Victory usually depends on which team better protects their initiator or forces the enemy's big spell onto a low-value target. It's a constant battle of positioning and cooldown trading from the mid-game onward.
