Magnus vs Snapfire

How this matchup plays

Setting up the perfect Reverse Polarity might seem straightforward, but Snapfire has a surprisingly effective tool to disrupt it. A well-timed Firesnap Cookie can force an ally out of the stun radius or even hop Snapfire herself to safety, ruining Magnus's big moment. This doesn't completely shut him down, as the reaction window is small, but the threat of a save makes his primary initiation less reliable. He can't simply blink in and expect a clean multi-hero stun when she's around. The entire fight can be reset by a single ability.

Throughout the game, this creates a tense dynamic. Magnus is forced to either try and burst Snapfire first or wait for her to misuse her Cookie, which often means holding his ultimate for a less optimal moment. Meanwhile, Snapfire can play a bit further back, knowing she has an escape or a save for whichever core Magnus targets. Her long-range damage from Mortimer Kisses also lets her contribute heavily to fights from a safe position, punishing any follow-up on heroes Magnus does manage to catch. She complicates his game plan without having to commit herself.
