Magnus vs Tiny

How this matchup plays

Thinking you can give Tiny a bunch of cleave and watch him win is a common mistake; when they face off, the opposite is true. Magnus has the perfect kit for dismantling Tiny's game plan. Skewer can pull a friendly hero out of the Avalanche and Toss combo, or simply shove Tiny away mid-burst to ruin his positioning. Because Tiny needs to be in the thick of things to do damage, he becomes an easy target for Reverse Polarity. Magnus doesn't have to kill Tiny himself; he just has to control him for a few seconds to let his team do the work.

The result is a game of patience. Tiny wants to find isolated pickoffs to build a lead, while Magnus wants to force a full five-on-five engagement where his ultimate shines. Magnus and his team will try to stay grouped, making it dangerous for Tiny to commit. Tiny's team, in turn, is forced to play more spread out to avoid a big Reverse Polarity, trying to create pressure on the map. If Magnus can't land his spells, Tiny's raw damage can certainly end the game, but a single good catch on him often decides the entire fight.
