How this matchup plays

Stealing Unleash feels like it should be an automatic win, but the reality is more complicated. To get that spell, Rubick needs to be near an enraged Marci, who can close the distance and kill him before he can react. Even a stolen Dispose or Rebound requires him to be in a dangerous spot. Rubick's most reliable tool is often Telekinesis, as lifting Marci when she tries to commit on a core hero completely halts her aggression. It breaks her combo and gives his team a perfect window to burst her down before she can get her damage out.

The matchup revolves around who gets the jump. Early on, they can trade harass, but neither has a decisive lane advantage. Later, if Marci finds Rubick out of position, he has few ways to escape her initial burst. Conversely, a reckless dive from Marci into Rubick’s team is a death sentence. He can lift her, steal her best spell, and use her own momentum against her. It forces both players to be careful about their positioning, as the first one to make a mistake is usually the one who ends up dead.
