Controlling Phantom Assassin's early farm often relies on magical burst and lockdown, which Mirana provides. A well-aimed Sacred Arrow can set up a kill, completely bypassing Blur's defensive benefits. Starstorm also contributes significant magic damage, which is strong before Phantom Assassin can build a Black King Bar. On the other hand, Mirana is a fragile hero who relies on positioning. If PA gets the jump with Phantom Strike, Mirana has few ways to survive the physical burst. Her Leap provides some mobility, but it isn't always enough to escape a determined assassin.

This matchup becomes a race against the clock for both heroes.
