Mirana vs Spectre

How this matchup plays

Finding a lone Mirana with Haunt is a death sentence. Leap doesn't create enough space to escape an illusion that's already on top of her, and her magic burst simply isn't enough to kill Spectre before Dispersion and Desolate wear her down. Even if Mirana lands a perfect Sacred Arrow, Spectre is durable enough to survive the follow-up and turn the kill attempt around. Spectre effectively punishes Mirana for trying to play her typical elusive, split-pushing style by being able to initiate on her from anywhere.

Mirana's game plan revolves around early map pressure and catching heroes out of position. This works for a while, but Spectre's ultimate turns this strength into a major weakness later on. As the game progresses, Mirana becomes a prime target for Spectre's global presence. She can't split-push safely and is forced to clump with her team for protection. This negates her scouting potential and makes teamfights awkward, while Spectre is free to farm and choose her engagements, knowing she can always find her preferred target.
