Mirana vs Storm Spirit

How this matchup plays

Jumping on a solo target is Storm Spirit's entire game plan, but finding a safe initiation becomes incredibly difficult against Mirana. Her Moonlight Shadow makes his job a nightmare by hiding his preferred targets, forcing him to guess where to commit his mana for a Ball Lightning. Even if he does find someone, the constant threat of a Sacred Arrow flying out of the darkness makes any jump a huge gamble. A single long-duration stun is usually enough to kill Storm before he can escape, punishing any aggressive move that isn't perfectly calculated and scouted.

This dynamic forces the Storm Spirit player to either farm passively or have his team invest heavily in detection, both of which slow down his crucial item timings. He can't create pressure on the map when his targets are constantly invisible. Mirana's team can abuse this by grouping up under her ultimate to set traps, turning his pick-off attempts into teamfight losses. To have a chance, Storm needs his own team to provide vision control and lockdown on Mirana before he can safely commit to a fight.
