Mirana vs Venomancer

How this matchup plays

Controlling the pace of the game is difficult for Venomancer here, as Mirana's kit is fundamentally built to punish his style. Most of what Venomancer does relies on applying slows and damage over time with spells like Venomous Gale and Plague Wards. Mirana can completely bypass this strategy with Leap, allowing her to either dive past the wards for a quick kill or simply escape when his poison gets dangerous. Because she isn't easily kited, she dictates the terms of any fight, and Veno's spells rarely have the impact he needs before he's already dead or she's gone.

This advantage translates directly into map control. A Mirana is always a threat to find and kill a solo Venomancer trying to push out a lane, which is his primary job. This forces the Venomancer to play much more defensively and grouped up, preventing him from setting up the suffocating ward vision he wants. His team is stuck playing on their side of the map reacting to Mirana's aggression. Meanwhile, Mirana and her team can farm more freely, secure objectives, and gank with Moonlight Shadow, knowing the enemy's main teamfight contributor is so easily neutralized.
