Mirana vs Windranger

How this matchup plays

Trying to land a Shackleshot on Mirana is a frustrating exercise. Her entire kit feels designed to sidestep Windranger's game plan. Mirana can use Leap to dodge the stun, reposition to avoid a latch, or escape a fully channeled Powershot. Since Leap has multiple charges, she can do this consistently throughout a fight. Windranger’s main defensive tool, Windrun, is also less effective because most of Mirana's burst damage comes from Starstorm and Sacred Arrow, which are magical. Windranger is left with few ways to lock down or survive against a Mirana who plays correctly.

This dynamic shapes the entire game. In lane, Mirana can play aggressively, knowing she has an escape for Windranger's key spell. Later on, Moonlight Shadow makes it easy for Mirana's team to find and gank a solo Windranger trying to split-push or farm. Even if Windranger gets the jump and commits Focus Fire, Mirana can just Leap into trees or over a cliff, breaking vision and wasting the ultimate's duration. For Windranger to have an impact, she becomes completely dependent on her allies for lockdown, while Mirana is free to set her own tempo.
