Morphling vs Wraith King

How this matchup plays

Playing for map control against a Morphling becomes much easier as Wraith King. You can farm more aggressively and show up to objectives with confidence because their primary damage dealer has no reliable way to take you out of a fight. This advantage stems from Morphling’s reliance on a massive burst of damage to secure a kill. His whole combo is designed to one-shot a key target, but Wraith King’s Reincarnation completely invalidates that strategy. Morphling is forced to expend all his resources to kill you, only for you to get up and turn the fight around.

As the game progresses, Morphling has to play around you. He can’t initiate on you, and if you jump on him with a Blink Dagger and Wraithfire Blast, he’s often too fragile to survive the stun before he can shift Strength. The pressure is on the Morphling to somehow kite you or kill your entire team before dealing with you twice, which is rarely feasible. This forces Morphling into a passive role, reacting to your moves rather than making his own, which is a terrible position for a carry who needs to snowball.
