Muerta vs Razor

How this matchup plays

Trying to burst down Razor with Pierce the Veil feels like it should be simple, since he can't physically attack you. The problem is that Razor can still apply Static Link to an ethereal Muerta. Because the link drains her raw attack damage, it guts the magical damage from her ultimate's attacks. Suddenly, she can't be touched but also can't threaten him, while he's free to use Plasma Field and wait out her cooldown. He also keeps all that stolen damage for a short time, making him a threat to the rest of Muerta's team.

This standoff defines the matchup. Muerta has to bait out the Static Link or get a Black King Bar to block it before she commits her ultimate. Razor, meanwhile, holds his link specifically for her. A well-timed Dead Shot can create space, but Razor's passive move speed often lets him reposition to maintain the tether or escape. It becomes a duel of cooldowns and item timings where neither hero has a consistent upper hand, and a single mistake on either side can decide the fight.
