Muerta vs Void Spirit

How this matchup plays

Getting jumped by a Void Spirit is a constant threat for Muerta. He closes distance instantly with Astral Step and has enough burst to be a real problem. Her main response, Dead Shot, can stop his aggression with a fear, but he can dodge it with a well-timed Dissimilate. If she tries to fight back with Pierce the Veil, she becomes immune to his physical attacks but remains vulnerable to his significant spell damage from Resonant Pulse and his other abilities. This forces an awkward standoff where neither hero can easily commit for a kill without risking a bad trade.

Throughout the game, the matchup becomes a mind game over cooldowns. A smart Void Spirit will try to bait out Muerta's ultimate and then retreat until it ends, leaving her defenseless. A good Muerta player will hold her fear and her ultimate, waiting for him to fully commit before turning the fight. Success often comes down to which player better anticipates the other's moves and saves their key defensive ability for the right moment. The fight is more about timing and execution than raw power.
