Setting up the perfect teamfight as Naga Siren feels risky against a good Rubick. The entire game plan hinges on using Song of the Siren to position your team for a clean follow-up. If Rubick is nearby, however, he can use Spell Steal to take that ultimate for himself. A stolen Song can completely reverse the situation, allowing his team to either escape the setup or turn the fight around under his protection. This creates a constant mind game where Naga has to be careful, often trying to cast another spell immediately after Song to prevent the theft.

Early on, Naga Siren is content to farm and largely ignores Rubick, but every major objective fight later will revolve around this single interaction.
