Naga Siren vs Sniper

How this matchup plays

Trying to farm the map with illusions runs into a problem against Sniper. His Shrapnel gives him a safe, long-range tool to clear out entire groups of images before they can accomplish much. This really slows down Naga Siren's ability to apply pressure and build a gold lead. The trade-off is that Sniper is extremely vulnerable if he gets caught. Naga's Ensnare goes through magic immunity and holds him in place for her and her team to collapse on him. This creates a constant tension of zone control versus a single, decisive initiation.

The matchup often comes down to who gets the jump and with what items. A Naga Siren who gets a Blink Dagger can ignore the Shrapnel problem and go directly on Sniper. A well-positioned Sniper with a Force Staff, however, can kite her and her illusions while picking them off from afar. The game becomes about vision and initiation. If Naga can find Sniper isolated, she can usually guarantee a kill. But if Sniper and his team are prepared for her, they can turn her aggression into a liability, neutralizing her pressure and punishing her from a safe distance.
