Naga Siren vs Spectre

How this matchup plays

Sending illusions to fight Spectre seems like the right move, but it often backfires. Spectre's Dispersion reflects damage back to every source that hits her, which means Naga Siren’s illusions will rapidly destroy themselves while attacking. The reflected damage can even be enough to harm the real Naga if she's standing too close to the fight. This neutralizes Naga's main strength of overwhelming a single hero with her illusion army, forcing her to be much more careful about how she commits to a fight against Spectre.

The mid-game revolves around Spectre's Haunt. As soon as it's available, Naga Siren can't safely split-push the map anymore. Spectre can instantly appear next to the real Naga, and Desolate will tear through her if she's caught farming a lane alone. Naga’s main counter-play is Song of the Siren, which buys enough time to either escape the gank with a teleport or wait for her own team to turn the fight. It becomes a tense game of cat and mouse, where Naga tries to use her faster farm to build a lead before Spectre’s global presence takes over.
