Head-to-head Dota 2 7.41f win rate from ranked matches.
In Dota 2 7.41f, Pugna wins the Necrophos vs Pugna matchup: Pugna beats Necrophos in 52.13% of 30,493 ranked matches.
Trying to out-sustain a Pugna is often a losing proposition for Necrophos. Pugna's Life Drain simply puts out more healing and damage than Necrophos can handle in a direct duel, and a well-placed Nether Ward makes every Death Pulse cast a painful choice. This forces Necrophos to play cautiously. The matchup evens out because Pugna is a very fragile hero. If Necrophos's allies can initiate on Pugna, he melts quickly. This frees Necrophos to target others with Reaper's Scythe and sustain himself through the broader teamfight, turning the outcome into a question of which team executes its initiation better.
