Necrophos vs Tinker

How this matchup plays

Getting away at low health is Tinker's specialty, but it lines him up perfectly for Reaper's Scythe. That ultimate punishes heroes for being wounded, which is Tinker's default state between trips to the fountain. The long stun will lock him down even if he manages to blink away after it's cast, making it easy for Necrophos's team to finish him. Heartstopper Aura also constantly chips away at anyone nearby. For a hero who zips between lanes and camps, this constant drain forces him to play much more cautiously or go back to base far more often.

This dynamic means Tinker can never feel safe pushing out lanes alone. Necrophos severely limits the parts of the map where Tinker can apply pressure. Instead of being an elusive global threat, Tinker is forced to play closer to his team or risk getting picked off by a Scythe from the fog. Necrophos often builds his own mobility to hunt, turning the hunter into the hunted. Tinker's main responses are items like Linken's Sphere or constant team protection, which slows his own progression and puts a huge burden on his allies.
