Necrophos vs Void Spirit

How this matchup plays

Fighting into Heartstopper Aura is a nightmare for a hero like Void Spirit. His entire kit is built around quick, high-damage trades before zipping out to safety. Necrophos completely reverses this pattern. The constant health drain from the aura means Void Spirit is already losing the trade before he even uses a spell. Any attempt to commit with his full combo is punished by Death Pulse spam and the looming threat of Reaper's Scythe. Even if Void Spirit tries to use Dissimilate to dodge a projectile, he's still taking damage the whole time, putting him in a bad spot when he reappears.

This pressure extends across the entire map. A farmed Necrophos can push towers and create space his team can play in, knowing Void Spirit can't initiate on him effectively. For Void Spirit, the game becomes about avoiding direct confrontation with Necrophos at all costs. He has to focus on picking off supports on the edge of fights or split-pushing, hoping his team can survive the main brawl long enough for him to create an advantage elsewhere. If Necrophos gets ahead, he becomes an unkillable front-liner who simply walks down lanes, and Void Spirit has no good answer.
