Farming anywhere on the map becomes a huge risk for Storm Spirit once the sun goes down. A core part of his game is using Ball Lightning to escape when caught, but Night Stalker's Crippling Fear provides an instant, area-of-effect silence that completely prevents this. Once silenced, Storm has no other escape mechanism and is easily run down by Night Stalker's superior movement speed and attack speed at night. It's a fundamental clash of kits where Night Stalker's main initiation tool directly nullifies Storm's only survival tool.

This dynamic dictates the pace of the entire mid-game. From the first night onward, Night Stalker can hunt Storm Spirit, denying him the space and farm he needs to hit his timings. A Storm playing from behind is a huge liability. He's forced to play reactively, grouping with his team far earlier than he'd like or staying in base, which gives Night Stalker's team free rein to take objectives. Storm's only recourse is to hope his teammates have saves to break the gank, but the pickoff is often too quick.
