Night Stalker vs Tusk

How this matchup plays

Trying to set up a gank at night is Tusk's whole game, but it's a nightmare against Night Stalker. The moment Tusk goes for a Snowball or tries to land Ice Shards, he's likely to get hit by Crippling Fear out of the darkness. Being silenced completely shuts down his ability to initiate, escape, or contribute anything meaningful. Night Stalker also has superior vision during his ultimate or at night, meaning he often sees the gank coming and can turn the tables before Tusk even knows he’s been spotted.

This dynamic forces Tusk to play incredibly passively during the night, which is normally his most active timing. While he can try to make plays during the day, he's constantly on the back foot once the sun sets. Night Stalker can confidently hunt the map for Tusk, knowing that if he finds him alone, Tusk has no spells to get away. Tusk’s only option is to stick with his team and hope they can peel, which severely limits his own ability to create pickoffs and control the game's tempo.
