How this matchup plays

Picking Zeus into a Night Stalker is a risky proposition, and it comes down to a simple predator-prey dynamic. Night Stalker's whole purpose is to find and eliminate fragile, spell-dependent heroes hiding in the back. Zeus fits that description perfectly. The moment Night Stalker gets on top of him, a single Crippling Fear can completely neutralize Zeus, leaving him unable to cast his way out of trouble. Dark Ascension makes this even worse, giving Night Stalker flying vision to spot Zeus regardless of his positioning and the mobility to close the gap instantly.

The game for Zeus revolves around surviving the night cycles. During the day he can contribute safely, but once darkness falls, he becomes the primary target. He's forced into buying defensive items like Force Staff or Glimmer Cape much earlier than he'd like, delaying his damage output. Night Stalker's team will play around his timer, looking for kills on Zeus to create space and control the map. Zeus's survival depends entirely on his team's ability to provide vision and peel for him when Night Stalker inevitably charges in.
