Nyx Assassin vs Phantom Assassin

How this matchup plays

Trying to build a farm lead as Phantom Assassin feels incredibly difficult in this matchup. Nyx Assassin's entire kit seems designed to shut her down. Mana Burn drains the small mana pool she needs for Phantom Strike, leaving her unable to engage or escape. More importantly, Spiked Carapace is a nightmare for a hero who relies on instant physical burst. A single well-timed crit or even a Stifling Dagger can be reflected back, resulting in a long stun that leaves Phantom Assassin completely exposed for a counter-kill. She can't play her normal aggressive game.

This dynamic forces the Phantom Assassin to play with constant fear. She wants to be hunting supports, but Nyx Assassin can be anywhere, waiting invisibly in Vendetta to punish her aggression. Any time she blinks onto a target, she has to worry about instantly stunning herself on Carapace. This slows down her item progression and map impact significantly. Her only real option is to rush a Black King Bar to ignore the stuns and mana loss, but by the time she gets it, Nyx has already done a lot of damage to her game plan.
