Nyx Assassin vs Sniper

How this matchup plays

Farming the map becomes a dangerous game for Sniper when a Nyx Assassin is on the other team. Nyx's kit is built to find and eliminate fragile targets. Vendetta lets him close the distance invisibly, and once on top of Sniper, the burst from Impale and Mana Burn is often lethal. Since Sniper has a small mana pool, losing it means he can’t use Shrapnel for vision or escape. Spiked Carapace is also a major problem, as it can stun Sniper if he reflexively uses Assassinate or tries to attack back, which usually guarantees the kill for Nyx.

This constant threat forces Sniper to play reactively and alter his item build. He can’t farm lanes aggressively or venture into the jungle alone, which slows down his gold and experience gain. The pressure often demands an early Ghost Scepter or Force Staff, delaying the damage items he needs to be effective. For Sniper to succeed, his team has to commit resources to protecting him with vision and peel. Nyx Assassin, meanwhile, can focus on punishing any positional mistake and keeping Sniper from ever hitting his powerful late-game timing.
