Nyx Assassin vs Spectre

How this matchup plays

Trying to burst Spectre down is a dangerous game for Nyx Assassin. His entire damage combo relies on unloading everything onto a single target, but Spectre’s Dispersion reflects a portion of that damage right back at him. This means a full Vendetta, Mana Burn, and Impale sequence can leave Nyx in critical health or even dead, especially if he isn't starting the fight with a big health advantage. He's punished for doing the one thing he's best at. Even Spiked Carapace offers limited protection, as it's the constant return from Dispersion that makes the whole exchange so risky.

As the game progresses, this problem only gets worse. A farmed Spectre with core items becomes an untouchable target for Nyx, turning his solo assassination attempts into suicide missions. His role is forced to change; instead of hunting the enemy carry, he has to focus on scouting, providing vision, and landing stuns on more fragile supports. Spectre, on the other hand, can farm with less fear. She knows that even if Nyx finds her, she'll likely win the trade, allowing her to hit her timings and take over the map while Nyx is forced into a more passive, supportive role.
