Nyx Assassin vs Tusk

How this matchup plays

Reacting to a Snowball with a well-timed Spiked Carapace can turn Tusk's own initiation against him. Nyx Assassin can reflect the incoming stun and damage, leaving Tusk vulnerable the moment he lands from his roll. This makes solo gank attempts on Nyx extremely risky, as Tusk is likely to be stunned and bursted down in return. Outside of that specific interaction, Mana Burn is also a constant nuisance for Tusk, chipping away at his limited mana pool and making it harder for him to execute his spell combinations throughout the game.

This dynamic forces the Tusk player to be more cautious. Instead of confidently rolling on any target he sees, he has to consider if Nyx Assassin is nearby or if Carapace might be available. In teamfights, Tusk may need to find a different initiation target or wait for an ally to bait out the defensive spell first. It doesn't shut him down, but it adds a layer of risk and hesitation to his standard game plan, giving Nyx a consistent, if small, advantage in their direct interactions.
