Trying to farm the mid lane against a Spirit Breaker somewhere on the map is a constant headache for Outworld Destroyer. Charge of Darkness forces a reaction, and if OD is even slightly out of position, he's an easy target. Spirit Breaker is naturally tanky and can survive long enough to secure the kill, especially with Nether Strike to finish the job. Outworld Destroyer’s main response is Astral Imprisonment, which can save him from the initial impact or dodge the ultimate. However, this relies on good timing and having the spell ready, turning every gank into a high-stakes test of reflexes.

This dynamic gives Spirit Breaker the initiative for most of the game. He dictates the tempo, forcing Outworld Destroyer to play cautiously and often invest in defensive items like a Force Staff earlier than he'd prefer. If OD can survive the constant pressure and get his core items, his pure damage from Arcane Orb will melt Spirit Breaker in later teamfights. The trouble is getting there.
