Saving an ally with Cold Embrace is a reliable plan against physical damage, but it runs into trouble against Ogre Magi. The icy cocoon only blocks physical attacks, meaning Ogre can continue to chain Fireblasts and Ignites on the frozen target. While it stops follow-up from carries, it doesn't stop Ogre from finishing the job himself if he gets lucky with Multicast. Conversely, Winter Wyvern can completely neutralize Ogre’s aggression with Winter's Curse, turning his own beefy frontline against a vulnerable backliner. This creates a situation where each hero has a powerful, direct answer to the other's primary goal.
