Pangolier vs Tinker

How this matchup plays

Trying to find a safe spot to farm as Tinker is a real headache against a roaming Pangolier. Rolling Thunder is an incredible tool for catching a split-pusher, capable of navigating through trees and locking Tinker down before he can Rearm and escape. If Pangolier gets the jump, Tinker is often finished. On the other hand, Tinker isn't defenseless in a straight fight. A well-timed Laser can completely neutralize Swashbuckle's damage output, giving Tinker a window to blink away or have his team counter-initiate.

This matchup often boils down to which hero dictates the pace of the game. A Pangolier who finds early kills can snowball that advantage by constantly hunting Tinker and controlling the map. This forces Tinker to play defensively and limits his impact. A Tinker that gets ahead, however, can play from so deep in the fog that Pangolier can't get a clean initiation with his ultimate. By constantly pushing out lanes and poking from safety, Tinker can make it impossible for Pangolier's team to group up and take a favorable fight.
