Pangolier vs Void Spirit

How this matchup plays

Seeing these two slippery heroes in the same game might make you think one counters the other, but it often ends up as a stalemate. Void Spirit tries to pin Pangolier down with Aether Remnant and burst him with Resonant Pulse, but Pangolier has excellent answers. He can Swashbuckle to dodge the Remnant pull or use Shield Crash to absorb a huge chunk of the magic damage. Likewise, if Pangolier tries to commit with Rolling Thunder, Void Spirit has multiple ways to reposition or go invulnerable with Dissimilate. They both excel at dodging the other's big moves, so neither can easily establish control.

This dynamic plays out all game. In lane, it's a trade of resources where neither can secure a kill without a big mistake from the other.
