Phantom Assassin vs Puck

How this matchup plays

Getting jumped as Puck feels helpless against Phantom Assassin. Your usual escape tools, like Illusory Orb, are unreliable when she can instantly close the distance with Phantom Strike. The entire fight then comes down to whether you can time a Phase Shift to dodge the critical strike that will kill you. But with her high attack speed and the constant pressure from Stifling Dagger's slow, creating enough space to get away is a huge challenge. She forces you to play perfectly, while she only needs one good right-click to win the exchange.

This means Puck has to try and dominate the early game and create a significant lead before Phantom Assassin comes online. Once PA gets her core items, especially a Black King Bar, the game changes. She can ignore Dream Coil and hunt Puck with impunity. Fights then revolve around PA finding and deleting Puck from the map, often before Puck can even cast all their spells. This pressure limits where Puck can farm and position, forcing their team to play defensively to protect a hero who is no longer a threat to the assassin.
