Phantom Assassin vs Ringmaster

How this matchup plays

Getting jumped by Phantom Assassin feels like a worst-case scenario for Ringmaster. His control abilities often require setup or have a delay, which is completely bypassed when PA closes the distance instantly with Phantom Strike. Once she’s on him, Ringmaster has very little durability to survive the physical burst from her crits. Her built-in evasion from Blur also makes it difficult for his teammates to quickly right-click her off him before he dies. Even his escape tricks are usually too slow to react to the sudden, focused aggression that Phantom Assassin brings to a fight.

Throughout the game, this dynamic forces Ringmaster to play extremely far back, often too far to use his spells effectively. Phantom Assassin’s entire game plan revolves around finding and deleting a key backline hero, and Ringmaster is a prime target. He relies completely on his team to peel for him, but that plays right into what PA wants to do. This core conflict in their kits—one diving deep, the other controlling a zone—is also why they tend to function poorly on the same team. When facing each other, PA can fully exploit Ringmaster's static nature.
