Phantom Assassin vs Spirit Breaker

How this matchup plays

Farming an empty lane always feels risky for Phantom Assassin when a Spirit Breaker is on the other team. His Charge of Darkness provides vision and a guaranteed stun from across the map, making it easy for his team to find and kill her. This directly disrupts her game plan of using Blur's passive to farm safely and out of sight. While her evasion can make it annoying for him to finish her with right-clicks, the initial lockdown from Charge and Nether Strike is often enough for his allies to collapse and secure the kill before she can escape.

This matchup often comes down to a race for a key item. Phantom Assassin’s primary goal is to acquire a Black King Bar as quickly as possible. Activating it when Spirit Breaker charges her will negate his stuns, allowing her to turn and fight. A Spirit Breaker caught without his team can't survive her physical burst damage for long. His job, therefore, is to create enough pressure with early ganks to delay that BKB timing, keeping her on the back foot and unable to hit her own powerful timings.
