Phantom Assassin vs Sven

How this matchup plays

Activating God's Strength only to have your attacks miss is the core of this matchup. Sven is all about massive physical damage, but Phantom Assassin's Blur naturally counters that game plan. This forces Sven to either hope for lucky hits or divert his build towards an MKB, often delaying more impactful items he needs to end the game. Phantom Assassin, meanwhile, doesn't need to change her item progression at all. She can build her standard damage and survivability items, knowing she has a built-in advantage in a direct right-click fight.

This dynamic creates a timing window. Sven can farm faster with Great Cleave and might get his core items first, but PA has the advantage in early man-fights. The game often becomes a race for Sven to secure an MKB or another way to deal with Blur before Phantom Assassin gets too far ahead. If Sven can survive the mid-game and get the items he needs, he can still win the fight with a good initiation. But if PA and her team press the advantage while she's evasive, they can close out the game before Sven comes online.
