Phantom Assassin vs Undying

How this matchup plays

Fighting near an Undying Tombstone is difficult for Phantom Assassin. The zombies' slow makes it hard to stick to a target or escape with Phantom Strike, and her evasion from Blur offers no protection from Undying's spells. Decay also cuts her maximum health, making her much easier for his team to burst down. However, Phantom Assassin is also one of the better heroes for killing the Tombstone itself. A few quick attacks can remove the threat, turning the tables if Undying mispositions it or uses it too early.

This leads to a cat-and-mouse game in teamfights. Undying's goal is to protect his team by creating chaos and draining PA's health before she can land a critical blow. If he gets his spells off first, she often has to back off. Phantom Assassin's success depends on finding a clean initiation.
