Primal Beast vs Tusk

How this matchup plays

Trying to burst down a Primal Beast is often frustrating for Tusk. His whole game plan revolves around a quick Snowball and Ice Shards combination to trap and kill a target. Primal Beast, however, is naturally durable and can frequently survive that initial burst. Once Tusk has committed his spells, he's left in melee range with few escape options. Primal Beast can then easily turn the fight with Trample and Uproar stacks, running down the now-vulnerable Tusk. The matchup isn't about ignoring spells, but simply outlasting them and punishing the commitment.

This dynamic means Tusk's ganks have to be perfectly executed, usually with a high-damage ally in tow. As the game progresses and Primal Beast gets tankier, he can more actively hunt for Tusk. A well-placed Onslaught into Pulverize is a death sentence, as Tusk has no way to break the channel or escape the damage. Because of this threat, Tusk is often forced to play reactively, trying to find pickoffs on Primal Beast's weaker teammates rather than confronting the beast himself.
