Primal Beast vs Windranger

How this matchup plays

Sticking on top of a Windranger is the whole game for Primal Beast. His Onslaught charge closes the gap, and if he connects with Pulverize before she can react, she’s almost certainly dead. Windranger has the tools to prevent this, though. A well-timed Shackleshot can stop his charge completely, and Windrun lets her create distance while he's trying to Trample her down. The fight often comes down to whether he can land his initiation before she can use her escape or control.

This back-and-forth makes the matchup feel very dependent on who gets the jump. Before she has items, Primal Beast is a massive threat. Once Windranger gets a Black King Bar, however, the dynamic shifts. She can activate it to become immune to his entire magical combo, including Pulverize, and either run away or turn the fight with her team. Winning the engagement then becomes about Primal Beast baiting out the BKB or catching her without it, while Windranger focuses on positioning to never get caught in the first place.
