Primal Beast vs Zeus

How this matchup plays

Closing the gap on Zeus is the entire challenge. Primal Beast wants to get in close and use his physical strength, but he has to run through a constant barrage of magical damage to do so. Zeus can stay at a safe distance, repeatedly casting his spells to whittle away at Primal Beast’s large health pool. Even if Primal Beast tries to set up a gank from the fog or trees, a well-placed Lightning Bolt can reveal his position and ruin the surprise, leaving him exposed. His high health also makes him a good target for Static Field.

This dynamic means Primal Beast often needs a Blink Dagger to have a real chance of catching Zeus. Without it, he can be kited and chipped down before he gets to use Pulverize. A successful initiation from Primal Beast is usually a death sentence for Zeus, but getting that clean start is the hard part. The fight often comes down to positioning and vision control. If Primal Beast can find his opening, he wins the duel, but Zeus has the tools to make finding that opening very difficult.
