Puck vs Zeus

How this matchup plays

Puck's entire defensive kit revolves around dodging single instances of damage with Phase Shift. This plan falls apart against Zeus, whose damage is constant and widespread. Zeus can spam low-cooldown spells that are difficult to avoid, chipping Puck down from a safe distance. Worse, a well-timed Lightning Bolt provides vision and true sight, completely shutting down any attempt to juke into the trees or escape after a trade. Puck relies on being slippery, but Zeus’s toolkit makes it very hard to get away clean.

This dynamic gives Zeus control from the very start of the lane. Puck is forced to burn through regeneration just to stay in experience range. Later, Puck wants to initiate with Dream Coil, but it struggles to find a good target or survive the attempt when Zeus can blanket the fight with damage from the backline. Even if Puck successfully disengages with Illusory Orb, Thundergod's Wrath can still secure the kill from anywhere on the map. Puck is forced into a passive game, unable to make the proactive plays it needs to win.
