Pudge vs Razor

How this matchup plays

Controlling the map against Pudge can be difficult for Razor. The need to stay close to drain damage with Static Link makes him a predictable target, forcing him to play more cautiously than he'd like. Pudge's entire purpose is to punish heroes who can't easily reposition. A successful Meat Hook pulls Razor out of his preferred range, breaking his link and leaving him isolated. Dismember then provides a long lockdown, giving Pudge and his allies a clean opportunity for a kill before Razor can contribute.

This dynamic means Razor often has to rely on his team for vision and protection, especially in the mid-game. While Razor can be strong in a head-on lane if Pudge misses, the constant threat of a pick-off can slow his farm and objective-taking. Pudge's team can leverage this by playing around his cooldowns, creating pressure simply by having him off the map. Razor's best response is to build survivability and play around his own team's vision, hoping to weather the storm until he is too durable for Pudge to burst.
