Pudge vs Timbersaw

How this matchup plays

Timbersaw’s entire defensive kit feels useless against Pudge. His Reactive Armor provides no protection from the pure damage of Meat Hook or the magic damage from Rot. More importantly, Pudge’s Dismember offers a long, reliable lockdown that completely prevents Timber from using Timber Chain to escape a bad situation. He is simply held in place to be killed, with his primary survival tool completely negated. Pudge has the perfect set of tools to isolate, control, and kill a hero who normally relies on armor and mobility to survive.

This interaction dictates the pace of the game. Pudge can confidently hunt for Timbersaw, knowing a successful Hook is likely a kill. This forces the Timbersaw player to be extremely passive, unable to create space or pressure towers without risking his life. He has to rely entirely on his team for saves and vision control, while Pudge is free to make aggressive plays and force fights on his own terms. The constant threat of a single hook can shut down half the map for Timbersaw.
