Landing a Dismember on Storm Spirit is a consistent way to hold him down for a kill. Since Ball Lightning doesn't break channeled stuns, a successful initiation from Pudge can prevent Storm from zipping away. The main challenge, however, is getting that initial catch. Meat Hook is a slow projectile, and a prepared Storm Spirit can often dodge it with his ultimate or quick reactions. This dependency on landing a difficult skillshot is why Pudge's advantage isn't stronger; the potential for lockdown is high, but the setup is unreliable.

Throughout the game, Pudge seeks to exploit this by setting up ambushes from fog or with smoke. A successful hook-and-dismember combo on Storm Spirit can halt his momentum and create a huge opening. In response, a good Storm player will prioritize vision control and maintain careful positioning to avoid these traps. He might also build defensive items like a Linken's Sphere to block the initial disable. The game becomes a tense standoff where Pudge has the better tool for the kill, but Storm has the tools to avoid the fight entirely.
